First Book Review

So I really enjoy reading. Unfortunately, nursing school put a bit of a hold on my reading. Now I'm finished with school and finally catching up on my reading. Recently I've been really into reading books that are being made in to movies. Labor Day, Allegiant, The Fault in Our Stars and Gone Girl just to name a few. Today I'm going to give a little review of...
This one was a little different than my usual "book of the week". Normally when I want a book of suspense, I go for James Patterson. However, Gillian Flynn reminds me a lot of Patterson in this work. Vocabulary, timing and amount of suspense were very similar to Patterson. Flynn brings the mindset of a woman into her suspense though. There were times in the book where I thought "Can she read every married woman's mind?". The main character, Amy, is far more brilliant thanI could ever be. The complexity of her thoughts and ideas was almost mind boggling to me at times. If you like suspense with a twist, I say "Go for it!". My only negative thought on the book is the language was a bit crass at points but nothing that made me blush too bad. If you aren't in to reading, the movie comes out October 3rd and stars Ben Affleck!

As I read back over my above post, I think it isn't quite as informative as I would wish. I guess I would rather write a less than helpful review than spoil a good book ;]

Happy Thursday, ya'll!!
